This vent is 87 x 18 x 2.

Adding the back flange adds several more inches to the crate size.

But due to the wood crate dimensions,

it was able to ship via oversize ground.

Shipping is set by dimension restrictions,

not cubic inches.

The 2 inch thick vents have louvers spaced 1 1/2 inches apart

for better ventilation.

The vent face is trimmed with a 1 inch trimming.

And the back flange has additional coverage of 1 1/2".

All corners are turned and locked together.

Pop rivets are applied to add durability to the vent.

Corners are mitered

or aligned for a straight cut depending upon their position.

This produces a neater finished product.

Vinyl screen was chosen as the insect screen.

Depending upon the climate of the vent install,

most areas are best suited for aluminum screen,

but there are areas better for fiberglass screening.
