As a 1 inch louver vent, the slats will be faced 1 inch and spaced 1 inch.
The nailer gives a 2 1/2 inch finished trim with a wall coverage of an inch and a half. Procure these Square custom aluminum exhaust vents. The face trim can be left as a finished trim. Hide the fastening screws sideways behind the louver faces. Just fasten straight through the vent wall instead of through the face of the vent nail fin.
