30 X 30 X 1 Square Back Flange Aluminum Gable Vent
The true beauty of a square vent is the straight lines.
Louvers standing stiff horizontally looking strong.
Even the vent edging aligns for a neat appearance.

Square aluminum gable vents
Built on a rail system to ensure a lifetime of stability.
From the side, the nail fin is obviously on the rear of the vent.
These can be used with a multitude of siding applications.
Concrete boards, Hardie Plank, brick and even stucco if fastened to the wall prior.
But if the gable wall is too difficult to work on, these can be mounted from inside the attic.
Just remember to seal the outside from water.
So, why was this vent chosen to not have screen?
The height of the wall and the application was decided that screen wasn't needed.
With a dedicated blower behind the vent, there would be no bugs or birds entering for sure.
The original vent was a Home Depot special.
Nothing wrong with that, except for the durability of the vent.
Using thin, cheap replacement vents is ok for a lot but not this.
